3.3 Knowledge processes and social learning in participatory governance

This project aims to start a process of social learning by non-experts and to co-create a common understanding of sediment dynamics in different tidal basins and estuaries. Relevant public and private actors of each of the sediment governance arrangements developed in Work Package 3.1 are invited to co-create and reflect upon scenarios for future development and the implementation of interventions to enhance public engagement for sustainable sediment governance and management. The VPA set (developed in Work Package 3.1) will be used as a tool:

  1. For social learning in multi-stakeholder workshops about sustainable sediment management and
  2. To formulate recommendations how to improve stakeholder involvement and develop sustainable sediment management.
